We own and manage three supported housing projects for single homeless
people in Bognor Regis.
'Cornerways' is a 12 bed hostel and residents are given a 3-month licence agreement. Our two move on projects have 5 bedrooms each and are used as 'non permanent' accommodation for
residents moving on from Cornerways; residents at these properties are given a 6-month licence agreement. In addition, we also own a one bedroom flat which is used as independent move on
accommodation.
We work alongside both national and local voluntary organisations and statutory agencies.
Aims
Provide high quality short-term, supportive housing for single homeless people; Empower clients to access mainstream social and economic activity; Support clients to move on to more independent, stable, suitable accommodation; Enable clients to access local services.
Financial Support
We receive Supporting People funding, as all of our shared schemes are classed as 'Supported Housing'. We offer low-medium housing related support; residents are expected to engage with
staff to address their support needs with a view to moving towards independent accommodation. Residents are charged a weekly rent and service charge; many claim housing benefit for help
with this.
Quaker Housing Trust and CRASH, the construction and property industries' charity for homeless people, have been extremely supportive to the Trust with both financial and practical
help.
